“The Republican National Committee, already threatening to block CNN and NBC from hosting 2016 primary debates if they air planned features on Hillary Clinton, is also looking to scrap the old model of having reporters and news personalities ask the questions at candidate forums.”

I'll believe this when I see it. The Republican establishment types have battered spouse syndrome. They crave being covered by ABCCBSNBCPMSNBCCNN etc., even though they know they will be abused and excoriated by them.

And though the establishment types may not like some of the questions from the LameStreamMedia, they would like even less questions coming from Limbaugh, Levin, and Hannity.

They may or may not have battered spouse syndrome as you suggest, but our contenders are conditioned to the type of emotional questions the liberal media likes to ask.

If anyone puts the kibosh to real conservative moderators it will be the republican contenders themselves. The likes of Christie, Jeb Bush et all are not accustomed to debating conservative, ideological, or constititutional issues.

Or the RNC will back out of such a debate, because they don’t want to see their rino candidates embarrassed.

I can imagine Cruz, Paul, Gingrich, and Palin enjoying such an intellectual feast, but that’s about it.
