Duke, I like some of this, but could you clarify one item - - I’m not sure I understand the intent and scope:

I'm just saying that lawyers getting paid by the government for various services would forfeit their right to vote. I think those lawyers would also have a conflict of interest.
In fact, back in my NASA engineer days I may have qualified as well (not as a lawyer, but as an indirect recipient of government spending).
