Blaming the NSA is no different than blaming the gun.

Not true. The NSA is made of individuals. Every single one of them is responsible to uphold the Constitution.

I regret you didn’t comment on the more relevant point that Congress is responsible. I’m not dismissing the individual responsibility you referred to, but that is something we cannot practically control. Our “representatives” on the other hand, are determined by our vote and influenced by our outrage providing they’re the direct recipients of the pressure.

The NSA component of the scandal is diversionary. No one in Congress is taking any responsibility whatsoever nor showing any distress over the allegations of privacy violations. That’s telling. At least it is to me.
