I remember when you could smoke in public libraries and court hallways and even in doctors waiting rooms. Also, the back of the seats in movie theaters had ash trays on them for the smokers. You could be watching Bambi with 50 children in the audience and smoke all the way through the flick if you wanted. Nobody thought much of it in those days.

I remember taking a flight from California to Texas in 1986 and smoking all they way there.

I don’t remember anywhere you couldn’t smoke, and I was just telling my kids this and they asked if there were fires everywhere. No, I guess we were smart enough to not burn things up with our cigarettes. I imagine though if you could still smoke everywhere there probably would be idiots setting fire to everything being careless.
