Sebelius: We ‘Have Our Hands Full’ with ObamaCare, Can’t Prepare for Immigration Reform Impact

No preparation for a potential influx of 10-12 million people (note: on the low end estimate) into the system.

Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said her department has its “hands full” with the implementation of the healthcare law and cannot prepare for any immigration reform bill’s impact on health insurance costs.

During a House Ways and Means Committee hearing on Friday, Texas Republican Rep. Kenny Marchant asked Sebelius, “Has HHS made any preparation for how to meet the added cost of providing care for the potential 10 or 12 million people that might gain permanent resident status under any kind of an immigration bill?”

In response, Sebelius said, “Sir, we don’t do anything about what the Congress may or may not do in the future. No sir.”

In an attempt to clarify Sebelius’ position, Marchant said, “So, there’s been no preparation made whatsoever for that large group of people.”

Sebelius, the former governor of Kansas, said, “We are working with the law as it is right now and, believe me, have our hands full to try and make sure that the law of the land is carried out.”

A biparistan group of senators are preparing to introduce immigration reform legislation. Illinois Democratic Senator Dick Durbin said the legislation is likely to be introduced next Tuesday.

>>> Pure Alinsky: overwhelm the system.

The immigration policy is the job for the policy makers.

But HER JOB is to anticipate this next ‘problem’, delegate her staff to prepare (at least to get an estimate on how much impact it will produce), and maybe drop off some of the current implementation of Obamacare.

Because, you know, she apparently is ‘overwhelmed’ by her duty.

With very few exceptions Democrat women are hard to look at. If beauty were brains Sibelius would be a bloody idiot.

I don’t know your definition of ‘beauty’.

ALL Democrat women have ugly souls.

Sibelius is such an obvious nutcase it’s more likely she’s got her hands full of powerful psychotropic drugs and is only vaguely aware of what her agency is doing about Obamakkkare.

Bitter, angry, viscious, filled with hatred, comtempt and disdain.

There is not one molecule of love, forgiveness, tolerance or joy in their bodies. Just the neverending desire to make everyone as miserable as they are.

Two things: it is going to more like 30-40 million, but many illegals are already enjoying welfare benefits, such as food stamps and temporary assistance to needy families, because their citizen children (who also get Medicaid) qualify and most states don’t count the illegals’ income when they determine household eligibility. So this will just pile on. We are going to be impoverished. The barbarians have overrun Rome.

It would be so much simpler to destroy all the insurance companies that are clogging up the health care pipeline.

Then create one giant hospital system. All doctors and nurses would work for it. Death panels would kill of 16.7 percent of the elderly each year to keep costs in line.

A nice simple program. That’s what we need.

More patients being seen by fewer doctors who are paid less money is no way to run a healthcare system. It will be the prime example of a ‘house of cards’.

I was given this and found it a great tool

Anxiety Management: learning how to move anxiety to the time we can do something about it, removing the current stress which is higher until we can form a way to eliminate or minimize the problem.....

At least Sec Sebelius did not LIE and said ‘yes we can handle whatever’s coming’.

Sebelius is not dumb. She understands the political implications if she were to comment on the situation. The 11 to 20 million illegal aliens will have to be covered by Obamacare. This could be the poison pill that kills amnesty. Sibelius knows it.

Most of the 11-20 million will be placed on Medicaid or receive Obamacare subsidies to buy healthcare. We are talking about tens of billions of dollars. And that doesn't cover the entitlement costs, which the Heritage Foundation estimated at $2.6 trillion.

So let's get something straight. Sibelius knows exactly what she is doing and saying. She does not want to be drawn into this battle and make comments that could hurt the Obama agenda for an amnesty.

Soon the DIMocRATs will define “patriotism” as committing suicide for the good of all. Now...if only they would lead the way.

Sebileus has always been one of those “I’m working as hard as I can” liberals. What she is in the middle of is not so much working as trying to hold onto her job. Lie down with dogs, rise up with even more fleas.
