I suspect that a significant number of these will go to the Border Patrol. They have been on the receiving end of sniper fire from Mexico countless times. Its only a matter of time before the cartels start using IEDs. It would be all to easy and a real game changer for border enforcement. I predicted they would start using IEDs some years ago but thankfully they have not so far.
In the last two years there have been a couple of news reports of IEDs discovered in the Rio Grande valley area.
