He was also responsible for the democrat win, as he not only would not support the man who beat him in the primary, he endorsed the democrat. What I've read is that Lugar DID endorse Mourdock, but refused to campaign for him, which is bad enough. Where does it say he endorsed the Rat?
I have no link, but a clear memory that he not would not endorse Mourdock (sp?), campaign for him, and eventually said he was going to vote for the democrat.
I'm fairly certain that's correct.
