BTW..did you see that the Detroit City council voted to REFUSE the state's offer to take over running Belle Isle...and also to fix it up..would save Detroit some $ 6 million/year. Council is so whacked out..now Mayor Bing is CLOSING 50 city parks because there is NO $$$..
How much longer can this go on?

Council is so whacked out
That's the biggest problem in Detroit, the council of thugs and thieves.
The state wants to take over the island and return it to money generation and a private investor wants to buy the island outright and turn it into a money generator but nobody is offering council members a cut. Its the same issue they had with the new international bridge. The city council didn't want it because the checks wouldn't come with their names on them.

How much longer can this go on? Auto Show is over, the big 3's numbers are out and Detroit said no to the Belle Isle thingee. Rumor is today was the day Snyder was to pull the trigger on Detroit, whether it was Financial Mgr, Chapter 9 etc.
If not today I suspect real soon, the city council will finally be de-b@!!ed no matter what choice he makes....
