The "Amish" and similar comments are not racism--they are venting of frustration, expressions of dismay, and cynical commentary about American media. They are a response to the inherent racism of the left's excusing and sweeping the black violent crime epidemic under the carpet because it's not a politically correct fact to face. Are there any racists here? No doubt there are some, but they're also everywhere else and represented in every ethnic group. As for the reaction to Caucasian mass shooters...where on this site have you seen anything other than universal condemnation of them and their acts? Enjoy the company of your comrades at DU.

There’s also the extra layer that conservatives don’t blame black violence on black genes or inherent blackness. Not any ones I’ve ever talked to, anyway. We blame government, mostly—the War on Drugs or the Welfare State and affirmative racial politics, depending on how libertarian you are—and the general decline of civilization.
