I agree with that 100% -- starting with the three major lines in New York, originally known as the IRT, BMT and IND. If the city-owned transit system were turned over to private owners, they'd be clean, on-time and profitable. Indeed, given her track record as governor of Alaska, Mrs. Palin would be a fine choice to head such a subway franchise.
