I bet if the same movie was released in 1975 as a spahgetti/schlock western for 100K with no-named actors blowing away no-name euro-actors and twice the amount of n-words in the script, no one would have raised an eyebrow on either side.

If it was released in 1975 it would have been a "Blacksploitation" flick.

Right, I think that is the vibe he is shooting for, a combo of spaghetti/exploitation type thing. I think he really likes that kind of thing, which is fine, I like some of it too.

It’s just that folks today can’t handle it for some reason. Half the articles I have seen are black folks yelling at him for having too many n-words and making a mockery of slavery, the other half have been stories about it inciting black on white crime. If it was put out in ‘75, it would have been a footnote pobably.
