Well said.

justice14 has pointed out that there is no visible movement on gun control in DC.

Which is demonstrably false.

Let me try again. There is no credible movement on gun control in DC.

What there will be is coast-to-coast bands of folks hunting random gun grabbing legislators and litigators.

Bands... of... folks...

You mean like ordinary people who would otherwise be shopping at WalMart or watching Honey Boo Boo?

If Rep. Carolyn McCarthy succeeds in banning "high-capacity" (whatever that means) magazines, a band of "folks" is supposed to do what, exactly? Hunt her down and harass her? Murder her? Stage a protest in front of her office? What does "hunting down" entail and how will it not end up with a bunch of people in jail, tarred as "gun nuts" and "thugs"? Or do you think that this mob action is going to greeted with cheers by the general population? I don't (obviously).

Another attempt at minimizing the issue. Why?

Are there or are there not dozens of Democrat Reps and Senators pushing an entire flotilla of gun control laws in the current US Congress? Is the US MSM not on a full scale push to enact further gun control?

IOW... You are either deliberately trying to minimize the threat for a reason, or you are just an idiot.

Which is it?

There is no credible movement on gun control in DC.

The President, the AG, half the Senate, and a good sized chunk of the US House of Reps aren't "credible"?

You mean like ordinary people who would otherwise be shopping at WalMart or watching Honey Boo Boo?

Nope. That's the FSA. I'm talking the percentage of US gun owners who are on their last straw. Math works about to about ten million folks.

When the orders go out to start the confiscations, those giving those orders instantly draw a target on their own backs.

Nice changeup. I DID say that they would try to push gun control. But full-blown confiscation would not occur. You stated it would and cited the one state rep. How is that minimizing it?

But full-blown confiscation would not occur.

Then you need to read the legislation submitted. Outright confiscation is exactly what is being purposed.

By the state rep? Haha. Again. Any more cites to actual legislation being proposed?

I'm talking the percentage of US gun owners who are on their last straw. Math works about to about ten million folks.

What "math"? I've seen people pull numbers out of their backsides and speculate 10 million people, but there's no data to support this. I'm willing to take it on faith that there will be at least 10 million people who will be steaming mad at more pointless gun regulation (count me in). Going out and "hunting" legislators is not something I expect anyone to actually do, unless they are an unmedicated schizophrenic. It certainly isn't something that is going to help the cause of gun liberty in this country.

In a post to justice14: Then you need to read the legislation submitted. Outright confiscation is exactly what is being purposed.

I read some of the links your search brought up and didn't see a single "outright confiscation" bill. I'm not saying you're wrong, but it would be helpful if you could provide a link. Also, justice14 is right; it doesn't matter what bills are introduced if they don't even make it to a vote. A lot of these bills are just posturing that's DOA. That's why I changed my description to credible.

When the orders go out to start the confiscations, those giving those orders instantly draw a target on their own backs.

Anti-liberty legislators already have a (metaphorical) target on their backs as far as pro-liberty voters are concerned. Nevertheless, the agenda of voters varies from place to place and not all districts have the political will to unseat these legislators. If voting these people out of office isn't a sufficiently popular idea, then how is murdering them out of office going to go over? Answer: not well.

Didn't bother following that link I posted earlier did you...

Ok... try this one...

Track the bills on popvox.com.

Or how about Directly from Di-Fi herself?

How about the Governor of New York?

Do the rest of your research on your own...

Di-Fi’s doesn’t say anything about confiscation. And even if it did. It won’t get enough support to pass.

...but there's no data to support this.

Extrapolating from the Revolutionary War and the Civil War and using estimates of todays gun owners.

If anything, our numbers are on the low side.

Keep reading. Di-fi's bill includes full confiscation. The high cap mag ban is also a full on confiscation. The registration bill? Gotta know where they are to go and collect them. Happened in Germany and Russia... Not in Canada because their massive non-compliance made it impossible.

As for what legislation makes it out of committee... That is why we are doing massive pushes on Congress critters to keep them voting for career longevity rather than civil war...

Answer: not well

How well is a massive confiscation effort going to go over? It went over just fine in Germany and look how that turned out. Let's try something different this time... You know... Like fighting back.

Or not... Go back to watching American Idol and forget we ever had this conversation.

We said the same thing about the 94 bill. And Obamacare. And the Fiscal cliff budget.

This isn't one you want to be wrong about.

No it’s not. And like I have been saying, complete confiscation will not pass. Maybe some gun-control will pass (which is not acceptable as per the 2nd ammendment). But will some gun control cause a revolution? No.

How?

They ban something they have zero legit authority to ban. We resist.

Pretty elementary really.

Like we did in 1994 when the instated the AR Ban?

No. Things are a different now.

Also, apple/oranges comparisons don't work. Banning a few random features are one thing, banning entire classes or firearms that comprise over half of the firearms in civilian hands?

Yeah... Different kettle of fish.

And even now, they are mostly talking future sales ban. Not outright confiscation. Of course the crazy libs will start out pushing for it, but it won’t pass.

I'm a hardliner. I know... Shocking surprise. For me, the only legit "legislation" I want Congress to consider is the complete repeal of USC Title 18 Sec 922 in its entirety.

Any additional restrictions on our RKBA are compounding a wrong currently being perpetrated.

If someone were abusing one of your children, you'd want them to stop immediately. If they said they were going to start abusing your spouse next on top of it... What would you do?
