Yes, that was a while back. Hardly anyone imagined then what we are facing now. Sorry to hear of the loss of your life companion.
We’re not done yet. One man can still alter the course of history. We all get to find out what we’re made of and soon. There’s more yet for us to do.
Honestly, I think if one man had the message and had the following, he would rock the world to it’s core. And the PTB’s know it... he would not live to see another sunset.
This thing is gonna play itself out in a way no one could ever have imagined. Rich will become poor, powerful will fall. Cowards will show themselves to be heroes, the strong will stumble.
And maybe, if we are lucky, the meek truly will inherit the Earth.
My wife, born in Mississippi, says that they are issued duct tape and WD at birth there. I have no reason to deny that; she always has some put back somewhere, just ask her.
Tabasco Sauce? I can make all I want from a cupboard of home canned hot peppers, but without an endless supply of canning lids (to use and barter) the Tabasco runs out. If shtf long term, canning lids will be worth more to the right people (i.e. other preppers and me) than baggies, Paper Plates or disposable Bic lighters (that’s what flint fire starters are for don’cha know). Baby wipes are nice but, without a stockpile of toilet paper, the prepper who made this list is out of luck when the baby wipes run out. Plastic baggies and paper plates don’t work so well for that. Just sayin’ ...
Very cool!
I’ll add:
1. Oil lamps (and a good supply of oil).
2. Pet food.
Tequila keeps you warm? I thought it made your clothes fall off!
Isn’t that what they call “base” instead of boullion? Very concentrated. My only concern about it is that you need to refrigerate after opening.

Selco wrote one time that he needed “low light” when he had to go outside during that war and didn't want anyone to know he was outside. That hit me like a brick - every light source I had, and I have plenty, were all brilliant, large light. I fixed that by buying pen lights like doctors/nurses use to check eyes. Got those on Amazon - six for $6.29. They are disposable but each lasts a long time and I wouldn't be using one very often. It's a small amount of light.
You press the clip on it and the light goes on, when you lift your finger off the clip, it goes off. That allows one to go outside and when you need to know where you are, press the clip, check your immediate surroundings and click it off.
There is a clear plastic piece around the pen and if you slide that under the clip, the light stays on.
If you buy them from Amazon, get them from BP Medical. There is another company on there and the description says 6 lights but they only send one. Customer comments were the pits for this company as they couldn't get the company to respond to them, so they are stuck with one light instead of six.
Tabasco sauce: When I began to prep, bottles of Tabasco sauce was bought early on. I don't want bland food and Tabasco sauce is the easy way to avoid that.
and some might say that's the beginning of the best way to keep warm...
A disposable penlight will still have a shelf life, and is “disposable”.
It might be better just to buy an actual AAA penlight that can go down to very low light levels and that will use rechargeable batteries.
Here is one that goes down to .09 Lumens, a single AAA will run it for 147 hours at that level (Four modes of output: firefly(0.09lumens 147hours) -> Low (3 lumens, 30hrs ) -> Medium (30 lumens) —> High (120 lumens, 1.5hrs)and it also has an led that might appeal to djf, the Nichia 219 emitter.

I like the Knorr chicken bouillon, but have not found a beef bouillon that I think is as good. I do not care for Wyler’s products. What beef bouillon do you like to store? (Please tell me it isn’t Wylers!!) Also, is there a ham bouillon available? I have not seen any out here in the toolies where I live.
I use chicken bullion, if I use bullion, or make my own stock.
I'm lucky that I have a chef in the house (I live alone). ;)
I do, however, use Gia Vi Nau Pho (a beef 'flavor paste'). Daughter married into a Cambodian family, and I got hooked on it. Beef stock, it ain't. It's got ginger, and lots of other flavors in it.
