Yesterday was a bad day for Keegan. He didn't eat or drink anything all day. That might have been caused by the fact the he slept all day. His eyes were completely swollen shut so his sense of balance was thrown off. Also he was spitting up for whatever reason. By midnight the swelling had reduce and he was pulling up to the sides of his crib and causing his pulse ox to freak out. Finally got a bit of cracker and cake down him. Oh and the gauze around his head was removed leaving a yellow cloth over his stitches which we have been trying to a kind of stocking hat on much to his dislike. Tho he has been cuddly with his nurse.. . The little ham.
To this Old Cat, that sounds pretty encouraging.
BTTT
I meant to thank all the Prayer Warriors, who have come through for Keegan yet again. I’m sure his family, including his Grandma, Ladyiris58 (that little girl down the street mentioned in the original thread creating post), appreciate it.
Sounds encouraging to me, too. The first days after surgery are so tough, especially when the patient is a little one. Docs know step by step how he’ll recover, so if they say he can go home tomorrow, there will be that dramatic improvement in his recovery.
Probably the effects of the anesthesia; praying for him to recover quickly.
Prayers ongoing for the adorable, charming Keegan. And maybe a little chicken soup would help?
