I don't consider this a secessionist movement so much as a movement to kick out the "Blue" areas from the Union. We can call it whatever is convenient. All I want is to end these pointless discussions and get myself free of PeeCee rule.

I'm not leaving the USA, Connecticut is.

First, the inciement to secede is treasonous. There is a lawful means by which a State may join and leave the union with the United States of America. None of these so-called petitions remotely complies with such Consitutional niceties.

Secondly, every person who participates in one of these petitions inciting treasonous secession is giving aid and comfort to the foreign enemies of the United States who have for decades been attempting to bring about an American civil war and disunion of the states. See one of many sich examples at:

Russian Wonk Predicts U.S. Civil War in 2010
Academic gets Kremlin love, becomes Russian media sensation thanks to his end-of-America scenario (spoiler alert: NYC to join European Union!)By Elizabeth Bougerol | Tuesday, Jul 7, 2009 | Updated 9:24 AM EST

The people who think they are just innocently shooting their mouths off to vent their anger had better rethink what theey are doing very very soberly. It is to be expected to see a number of fifth columnists helping to instigate and promote an American civil war and disunion. You won’t know which of these posters and/or petitioners they may be. So, it is up to each person to deecide whetheer they are going tto help the enemies of the United States seeking civil war and the manifold deaths that owuld result or help true Patriots in their struggle to protect and defend all of the United Sttates and its union.
