It would seem to me that the both the media and the GOP-e would love to be able to blame a technological failure on Romney's loss. The media because, as many have commented, anointed Romney seeing him as the least threatening. The GOP-e would no doubt like to come up with an excuse that absolves them of any guilt on the part of the candidate they pushed.
Wouldn't the idea be to run a campaign that gets people excited enough to vote they don't have to be ‘herded’ into the polls by project Orca?
You gotta do both. It's like football -- strategy matters and execution matters. You can't win against a talented foe just by relying on great strategy, you also have to execute. You can't win just by relying on execution either.
Yes, the GOP needs better strategy to motivate voters. But you can have all the excited voters in the world, and if the other side has excited voters *and* a great turnout operation, you're gonna lose.
It looks like you’re right. I’m sorry. This whole election and all the calls of fraud has really been terrible. Col. West’s situation is despicable.
Anecdotally, the “flawed cadidate” argument has a lot of support. A fireman I know, nominally conservative, voted for Obama. Romney was painted as a job exporting fat cat and he apparently didn’t contradict or reverse that perception.
