Gold a fair traded commodity purchased in large part by people outside of the US; congress has nothing to say about the value of gold.

If you know anyone willing to sell gold at $50/oz. please get back in touch. Last time I checked it was a bit north of $1,750/ oz.

You might want to brush up on your knowlege before you type. A MUST READ! U.S. Constitution - Article 1 Section 8 "The Congress shall have power to ... To coin money, regulate the value thereof, ..." Made at the U.S. Mint with $50 Dollars U.S. on the back.

Gold Eagle Denominations
American Gold Eagle Coins are offered in four different fractional weights. Each fractional weight carries a different denomination or legal tender face value.

•1 ounce: $50 face value
•1/2 ounce: $25 face value
•1/4 ounce: $10 face value
•1/10 ounce: $5 face value
