They’re crying because apart from appearing at demonstrations and protests, they have no lives. They’re crying because now they have to find another reason for existing. But there’s always some leftist cause going on somewhere, and there’ll always be Soros money to keep them alive for another month or two. But what to do when Soros finally croaks? That’s alright, just as there’ll always be a leftist protest somewhere, there’ll always be some leftist billionaire (what a strange conjunction) to donate money to the pitiful blips who have no lives other than protesting something.

N/P's take in the 1970s was a very harsh (not to mention prescient) view on "activists" compared to the modern interpretation of Dante's "aimless".
