I know Romney's not a hit with Freepers. Truth be told he was FAR from my first pick as well. BUT...

I do respect your "no apologies"...I will go with respectful debate every day, all day.

And thank you for taking back the ass kicking...I'd rather discuss this over a bottle of double malt and then push your rocker over when you can't defend yourself. Don't know if Tzu Sun would agree, but oh, well...

I heard that crap when Clinton was in office. We're still here.

Gimme a break, Obama has far surpassed Clinton. Obama doesn't even pretend. he's already said he'll turn us over to Putin "after the election", just for starters.

Obama has no pretense of free speech when it comes to criticism towards him. He'll shut down any site that isn't 100% complimentary. Look at all his current lawsuits. Clinton didn't do that.

Don't want to get in the middle of this ridiculous “debate”, but then CA Governor Reagan signed a pro Abortion Law. He also signed blanket Amnesty for Illegal Aliens into Law as President.

I guess he wouldn't be good enough to be the Republican Nominee in 2012.

Romney has changed his stance on Abortion to Pro Life like many others, but Obama not only promotes Abortion on Demand, he embraces it and has Voted to allow Infanticide.

Now, all you folks can get back to your pointless “Romney is just like Obama” tug of war. I'm going back to my Cars, Dogs, Guns and Kittens Threads. VROOM, WOOF, BANG, MEOW.

You’re missing the point.

Let’s do this logically.

Do you believe slavery was a moral sin?

I’m about ready to just say to hell with it all. When people on the most conservative site on the net decide to attack their own in support of a rabid liberal, there is no hope to save anything. And even if we did, what’s the point? These idiots will just adopt another liberal idea and wreck the place all over again.

Use both sides of the paper, if necessary.

{^) There'll be all kinds of electoral vote count hooptidoodle in the response, which will appear to have merit, except that it ultimately boils down to the bitter truth: the guy who loses will have lost becaue not enough people voted for him. The loser's side, be it Obama's or Romney's, will squawk that "you didn't vote for my guy so it was the same as voting for the other guy," but ultimately, will boil down to, simply ... their loser didn't get enough votes.

Only need one side of the paper to figure that one out.

Romney does not hate my country.

Besides his "severely conservative" rhetoric, what part of his actual record do you base that assertion on?

Both of which he called the greatest mistakes he ever made.

I don’t believe I ever asked you to vote a particular way. People already have their minds made up and nothing posted here will change their minds either way. Norm asked a question and I answered him honestly.

Stop and think for a moment. Perhaps, the "Romneybots" didn't foist Romney upon us. Do you think, for a second, that the possibility exists that Romney was pushed through the primaries by Dem and Liberal operatives who were determined to see Obama face the weakest opponent in the GOP field? I see the possibility, but nonetheless, it is what it is.

I informed my employees last week that if a second Obama term occurs, the resulting havoc will force me to close the doors for good. Dec. 31 is it. I've fought the good fight for the past 3 1/2 years to do what is right for employees that have been loyal to me for many years, but I cannot pour what savings I have down the tubes in hopes of a Conservative white knight to ride in the gate in another 4 years. The reality is upon me, and a lot of other business owners whom I speak with on a daily basis.

Idealism won't save my business. You can call it what you want, and you can try to discern the level of my Conservatism with one line, half-witted, snide remarks. At the end of the day, the fight in November is real for me and I don't give a damn what you think.

“I’d rather discuss this over a bottle of double malt and then push your rocker over when you can’t defend yourself. “

You sound like a good friend of mine. I owe you one for your gracious understanding of my poorly-worded comment. I’ll either send a bottle of double malt or wait until you have the chance to knock my rocker over. Your call.

I do apologize for the way that post came out. It looked different through my goggles.

I didn't give a drunken, suicidal Romney the keys to a Maserati... You did. Now you are asking me to ride shotgun.

Thanks, but no.

Can we all get a grip here. Willard ain’t the bomb we wanted but if he turns your stomach then just consider this-—cast your vote not for him but do it as a vote against Obama. There’s just no way Mittens is as poisonous as Obummer—not even close. For those of you considering a write candidate what are you smoking? Romney at least gives you a teaspoon of water in the desert but King Barry taxes your sandals in the sand.

You go right ahead, accept that teaspoon of water at the cost of everything you believe in, for an additional 5 min of suffering before dehydration kills you.

I won’t.

Do you believe slavery was a moral sin?

Yeah. And the nation paid for it dearly in blood and treasure. Almost unto the death of the republic.

Are you trying to use the original sin of the founders in not ending that vile practice to justify the the deaths of the tens of millions of little children who have been killed by the abortionists, with Mitt Romney's full support? Or what? Really, what's your point?

Yes, in retrospect he called them mistakes, but that didn't change the negative impact of the Legislation now did it?

You just made my point for me, thank you very much.

Back to the fun threads I go. VROOM, WOOF, BAG, MEOW.
