What happens in case like that is Texas would seize those assets. And most of the soldiers here would defend that decision. The US would face the decision of fighting or not.I do not believe the US would choose violence. When you choose secession, the laws of the country you are seceding from become annulled.All secessions, revolutions, civil wars, etc are illegal to one side or the other. But if secession did happen, I'm guessing that the assets would be peaceably divided, much like what happened when the Ukraine seceded from the old USSR.
