The subject of the video was a professional, a trained KGB agent working on behalf of what was then a world superpower. He was paid to engage in subversive activities in India and elsewhere. He tells a fascinating story.
Is ScreamingFist seriously suggesting that there are "at least 100 posters" who have been employed by some person or some foreign power to subvert this country by posting comments hostile to Mitt Romney at Free Republic? Is it felt that Mitt Romney is so compelling a candidate that no honest conservative could possibly find reason to reject him?
Well, I acknowledge that both of you have more experience than me here, but this professional subversion theory seems a bit outlandish to me. Moreover, I think think such a theory is wholly unnecessary to explain why conservatives are so hostile to Romney's candidacy. If Mitt Romney has any kind of philosophy at all, it is a liberal philosophy. For reasons that have been detailed over and over and over again at this forum, Mitt Romney is viewed by many here as dangerous to conservatism and dangerous to this country's future, potentially much more dangerous than Obama.
Every man has a right to his own delusions, but he shouldn't be too critical of others who don't share them. I want to be sensitive to your feelings because I know I would feel cheated and I would feel resentful and I would be very angry if I came to believe that I was one of just a few people on this forum who wasn't being paid to be here.
I don't want either of you to feel that way. It just sounds too painful for words.
