Im seriously conflicted. Im beginning to have flashbacks to the presidential race of 2008. There are some disturbing parallels between the candidacy of the hapless John you cant do it my friend McCain and the present candidate, the anointed of the Washington Republican Establishment. Its akin to the feeling I got when I realized that George Bush was anything but the conservative he positioned himself to be.
Americans have been watching with an almost preternatural intensity as this all too real drama plays out on our national stage. Mitt Romney ran for the nomination of the Republican Party like a junkyard dog destroying candidate after candidate and devil-take-the-hindmost. It was readily apparent that he didnt much care where the bottom of the swamp was either. Though many of us disliked his tactics and they were short, brutal and to the point, we salved ourselves with the thought just wait for the campaign this summer and fall, Romney will chew up Obama and spit him out, weve got a tiger in our tank.
Readers will remember that I was never that high on Romney. I saw the potential millstone that Romneycare presented to the Republican effort to oust the Marxist Obama, as unfair as it may be. Romneycare as it has been dubbed is, and was, nothing compared to the utter devastation that will be Obamas legacy to this country should the healthcare law not be overturned.
Mitt Romneys attempt to bring sanity to Massachusetts health care costs, through a state mandated health care system, was admirable in its aims. Romney should have known it would have been vulnerable to a Democratic state legislature which couldnt wait to turn the law into a tax-and-spend opportunity, which was then followed by the election of a liberal Democrat governor after Romneys departure who turned the law into something totally different than its original intent. What Romney did was to remediate some of the states onerous health care regulations. What Barack Hussein Obama has done is to enslave an entire nation to the false gods of liberal governance.
Romney has got to start listening to some different advice. From what Ive observed, he should dump his advisers now. Whoever advised Romney to allow photo ops from The Boathouse and The Monster speed boat while the Anointed One is out campaigning, schmoozing senior citizens and sucking down brewskis with constituents, should be in some other line of work period.
Romney has lost his nerve or someone high up in his campaign has. Running from the fight is serving none of us well. No incumbent president since Jimma Boy Cata has been as vulnerable as Barack Obama. Whats infuriating me and many other patriots, at least according to the comments we get, and we get a bunch Romney wants us to trust him to bring this country out of the darkness that is this depression. He wants us to fight for him. When is he going to fight for us?

You guys had your damn chance to defeat Romney fair and square ...
Actually, that is downright false. Plain and simple. Many Republicans were left ONLY with the option of Paul vs Romney when the primary finallly came to our state, and I'll bet even you woudln't vote for Paul over Romney (though I did to lessen Romney's chances in the primary knowing Paul didn't have a showball's chance of getting the nomination). You are woefully naive and ignorant if you think Romney's win of the primary was legit.
Bottom line: your plan is still to tuck tail and surrender to liberalism.
You have ZERO plan for dealing with the consequences.
A wise FReeper elsewhere (I forget his handle) has said that ABOers, if Romney wins, would suffer Buyers' Remorse so ugly that it would make Democrats' regret of Obama look like nothing. You got a plan for that?
Didn't think so.
I've got a plan -- it's called voting for a plurality to weaken the mandate of the guaranteed-to-be-a-statist-liberal winner. It outrages you and provokes emotional outbursts from you. It is what it is.
This is where your argument LOSES all value and credibility. No one is saying Romney will change. We all know Romney is a rino. However, Romney is NOT Obama, and is for the American Ideal. We all recognize the fact the GOPe needs to be mixed up and conservatives need to take control, but voting third party is a vote for Obama. Your logic of "Now's" the time to vote third party because Romney is going to sweep in and win is beyond ludicrous B.S. It doesn't accomplish a friggin thing but help Obama. Although, I will admit it would be hard for even Romney to mess this up after Obama's dismal record.
Here is the SIMPLE current reality. either Romney or Obama will be ELECTED POTUS. Obama is an anti-capitalist, anti-American. Romney is a Capitalist, Pro-American. Which one do you want to be POTUS? If you actually discount this REALITY and want to hang on to your idiotic strategy of "Miracles Do Happen" by screwing around and possibly giving this thing to Obama because Mitt is a rino, then not only are you WRONG...YOU and your ilk are possibly putting the rest of America in danger of more years of downtrodden crap! "Now" most certainly is NOT the time to be messing around and voting for a USELESS third party candidate who wouldn't change a thing other than possibly get Obama elected again.
“Actually, that is downright false. Plain and simple. Many Republicans were left ONLY with the option of Paul vs Romney when the primary finallly came to our state, and I’ll bet even you woudln’t vote for Paul over Romney (though I did to lessen Romney’s chances in the primary knowing Paul didn’t have a showball’s chance of getting the nomination). You are woefully naive and ignorant if you think Romney’s win of the primary was legit.”
Who pointed a gun to the head of any of those people and said vote for Romney or Paul? Did the RNC stuff the ballot box with fake vote?
No they did not.
Go vote for your Obama.
You are a silly, ridiculous liberal/democrat, with all your name calling.
You are on ignore.
IF you really mean that “ - - - we do NOT want Obama back in the WH - - - “ THEN why do you continue to believe that Marvelous Myopic Mitt Romney can POSSIBLY beat Incumbent Obama?
Just look at the odds:
Romney is campaigning in a monotone, “watch paint dry,” “I do not need your vote” style.
Obama campaigns the exact opposite to Romney.
Romney uses clever little nuances of prep-school style humor, NO memorable campaign slogans, NO short declarative sentences, NO sound-bite quotes, NO step 1-2-3 plans to solve any problem, NO soaring oratory speeches, NO attempt to identify with us in the trenches fighting for our Grandchildren’s futures, NO indication that he would do anything different IN PRINCIPLE from Obama.
Obama remains dedicated to say what each audience wants to hear, and then continues to destroy America.
Romney is a Socialist, with Haaaaaaaaaaaaaarvud-educated young kids as advisors.
Obama is a Communist, with Far Left street-fighter advisors from Chicago and Academia.
Romney is campaigning in his above style as if he is seeking a nomination to be in Obama’s next Cabinet.
Obama is campaigning to keep his job as if this will be his last chance to destroy the America that he and FB Michelle hate so much.
Dream on if you think that being loyal to the RINO Blunder of choosing to endorse the Godfather of Obama”care” to defeat the Father of Obama”care.”
The betrayal of Traitor John Roberts on approving Obama”care” gave the election to Obama.
BTW, the polled voter disapproval of Obama”care” is still 60 %.
To bad for the RINOs and Romney that they chose to lose this election by ignoring the facts, and choosing to lose with another Liberal Republican, again.
A National Election is a terrible thing to lose, but RINOs are getting REALLY good at it!
” - - - - Cruz has a good chance, too!”
Not so.
This will be a VERY poorly publicized runoff election, with the odds of winning going to the party favorite, Dewherst.
If you know of ANYBODY in the Cruz Campaign, have them show some ads!
This is it for the next 6 years!
I could take a dude off the street who believes in America and is not an anti-capitalist and beat Obama. Understand, this the USA and the American people recognize what this charlatan is now and they will vote him out no matter who is running against him. Romney just happens to be the chosen one, so he'll win by default.
What don't you One Trick Ponies understand? This is not complicated nor difficult to comprehend. Obama is Obama's worst enemy in America because people don't like anti-American's like Obama and his ilk.
A National Election is a terrible thing to lose, but RINOs are getting REALLY good at it!
You can not look at this election but one way. Whoever (and we know it will be Romney) runs against Obama is going to give him the smack down he deserves. The American people as a nation are not anti-American, we all know Obama is, and this is what will defeat him.
As I've written previously, Romney doesn't have to do anything but BREATH to beat Obama! Get out of the way and Obama will continue to destroy himself as he's been already doing for four years.
IT'S SIMPLE!
I thought Cruz did not have a prayer because of Dewhurst’s name recognition..I am no election expert but runoffs do not usually draw the numbers..so I am hoping the Cruz supporters are more energized to get out and vote.
That illustrates the bumper sticker depth of philosophy that 95% of those in Rio Linda fall for.
Did you listen to the video ?
Here’s what he said:
Soros says they are identical then Soros details three huge areas where they differ:
1. The crowd they bring with them to the administration what he calls - extremist conservatives.
2. The Supreme Court picks he would make.
3. His cut taxes position.
Transcript:
Soros: Well look either youll have an extremist conservative be it Gingrich or Santorum, in which case I think it will make a big difference which of the two comes in.
Soros: If its between Romney and Obama there isnt all that much difference except:
The crowd they bring with them.
Romney would have to take Gingrich or Santorum as a Vice president, and probably have some pretty extreme candidates for the Supreme Court, so thats the down side.
HOST: But isnt there actually quite a big difference between a president Obama and a president Romney when it comes to questions of taxation particularly taxation of the so called 1% and issues like carried interest, do you see any difference there?
Soros: That is the big difference and that has lead my hedge fund community to abandon Obama in favor of any republican because they dont like to be taxed.

Obama is anti-American. Romney is Pro-American. One of these two will be POTUS. Who do you want it to be?
