No, a "Voluntary Surrender" is something you do when you've been accused of something, and you 'voluntarily surrender" your license five seconds before the state suspends you.

Editor involves writing skills, and since Obama didn’t have Bill Ayers, a team of speechwriters, or TOTUS with him at Harvard, being editor would be unlikely. In my ignorance, i’m thinking a voluntary surrender means they’ve got the goods on you, but are giving you the chance to surrender your license to keep yourself out of court.
Either way, it comes off as scumbags lawyers protecting their own.
If you look up the current record at the ARDC for Moochelle the “attorney is on court ordered inactive status” is gone.
