R-rated sculpture outside Hunter Museum, Chattanooga!

One needs to be careful walking on the grounds outside the Hunter Museum in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This sculpture is of a very beautiful dancer cast out of metal....yet she is quite nude and very detailed. The Hunter Museum has a free audio recording which explains the art piece and the artist. I shot this myself earlier today with my new Ipad!

“laz would hit it I’m sure.”

That would hurt quite a bit.

It’s a realism work of art. Nothing offensive at all.

Normal children start play doctor around age of 6.

Now, if this was a nude statue of Justice Kagan or Ginsberg, I would protest it as an affront to good taste and esthetics.

Kinda looks like my wife as she gets ready to jump in the pool each evening.

It's something beautiful. It's not pornographic or offensive. It's just a beautiful person celebrated in art.

A really beautiful, well-executed sculpture in the classical taste. Wonderful. I’m glad someone is still doing things like this now that Frederick Hart is dead. Thanks for lifting our spirits.

Why would anybody “need to be careful” when walking around the grounds of this museum? Do you think it’s harmful to anybody to see a beautiful nude sculpture? Did you not realize that the nude human form is a God-given glory that has been the subject of fascination and technical challenge for thousands of years, and many of our greatest works of art are examinations of the human body? This is so far from pornography.
