Yeah, I do too. But in November 2010, we started taking it back. This November we'll take even more of it back, and we'll continue to take it back.
I agree with you that the worst thing Bush did was not fight back against the leftists. To this day I don't think he understands that it did NOT preserve the dignity of the office, it brought us Obama and the takeover of both houses of Congress. When he didn't stand up for himself, he didn't stand up for the country.
That said, I still thank God that he was president after 9/11. He did a magnificent job. Remember his speech to Congress after the attack? Brilliant. I'll never forget that.

Regarding the fighting back; something else I’d like to add for consideration. Someone else mentioned that there was no Reagan fatigue when he left office and that is absolutely true.
But the reason behind that, is that President Reagan would always go directly to the American people for assistance. When congress would fight him, President Reagan would simply address the Americans on TV and phone calls from his staff requesting that we contact our various members of congress. It was very effective and we never doubted that he was literally ‘fighting’ with the maggots.
President Bush, should have fought back and he should have come directly to us instead of allowing the lies to compound. But he didn’t and that is a huge reason there was the so called ‘Bush fatigue’. He listened too much to Rove and other milquetoast limpwrists and it caused a major backlash imo.
