If you put Martin Sheen’s brain in a bird...it would fly backwards.

This gives added perspective to his recent role as a fallen away Catholic in “The Way”. He did seem quite natural and comfortable in the part.

Martin Sheen is his own god.

Comes from the second oldest lie in The Book.
“ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.”
~ The Serpent in Genesis 3:5

The oldest lie in the book is ...
“Ye shall not surely die:”
~ The Serpent in Genesis 3:4

In other words, “It ain’t gonna kill ya.” I’ll venture you’ve heard that lie many times in your lives. “Here, try this. It ain’t gonna kill ya.”

Hey, Martin Sheen. The Lord Jesus Christ has something to say to you.

“I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.”
~ Jesus in Luke 13:3, and again in Luke 13:5

Unless he Mr. Sheen repents, he’s in for a very unpleasant surprise when he exits this life.

-—”my religion’s highest standard is conscience.”-—

Then you have no religion.

This problem has been ubiquitous in the Church since the sixties, and demonstrates the consequences of error and poor catechism.

"my religion's highest standard is conscience."

Ah, the fruit of the fall ... ever since we ate from that tree in the garden we've taken the decision about "good and evil" into our own hands.

Had Mr. Sheen continued to read, he may have found this:

(Jer 17:9 NIV) The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?

Our best thoughts are often corrupt; that’s why we have a Bible to rely on rather than our own thinking.

Sheen was on the show that traces ancestor. Not suprisingly they supplied the prison populations of Ireland and Spain.

This is just another twist of moral relativism, if I say it is good and just then it is.

It is not Catholicism, because sheen rejects the teachings of the Church that conflict with his views.

This is nothing new, being a Faithful person is hard and sheen chooses not to do the heavy lifting.

It is easy to say, "I'm a Catholic, but..." you can add anything that makes you feel good after the but.

I can’t wait until this pompous ass stands before the creator of the universe and explains his religious viewpoints.

Sheen is not Martin’s real surname. He took the name Sheen from Archbishop Fulton Sheen whom he admired greatly.

Fun things to know and tell!

Sheen is just another attention-addicted, big-mouthed CINO.

I was so disappointed in Cardinal Dolan for interviewing this clown just because he made a movie about a man’s conversion. I think the title was “The Way”. I have heard that it is good, but there is no way I would put one cent in Sheen’s pocket for anything.

For us this means that the Church's magisterium bears the responsibility for correct formation.
I'm glad he's speaking to a Catholic audience as a Catholic and not to all Christians.
I would have a field day with that comment otherwise.
