Dan Weber, founder and president of the Association of Mature American Citizens [AMAC], says that “Obamacare may collapse under its own weight when the Supreme Court takes up the constitutionality of several key components. It won’t be enough that the individual mandate is thrown out. If the rest of the bill stands such as the pre-existing condition requirement, insurance premiums will go through the roof, hsstening a clamor for single payer-which was the goal all along.

The whole thing has to be thrown out and free market solutions proposed and passed.

The dirtiest little secret is that ObamaCare and the entire demand for socialized medicine for cost control are based on a lie that few have noticed (in addition to the obvious lies). Total medical spending is rising, but that is a good thing.

Why is that good?

As per person income and wealth rise, we have to either save that money or spend it on something. Given a choice of more trinkets, gadgets, and other things that don't really make our lives better, or devoting more of our money to our health, choosing to spend more on medical care is a very good thing. Government cannot "control" that cost except by limiting access or by cutting the compensation for providers, and those government controls will reduce the services that are offered or the quality of those services. I want my extra income going to medical care if that will save my wife's life, restore my father's eyesight, enable my niece to walk, or otherwise make my world better, and I assume most real Americans would agree if they thought through what we are getting for the money spent on the "rising costs of health care". Obama/Pelosi/Reid's methods of controlling those costs come at a much higher cost than paying for those services - which is why people will voluntarily choose to engage in those transactions unless the socialists stop us with their mandates and their penalties.
