I have a friend who is a toxicologist and pharmacologist at the James Brown Cancer Center in Louisville. She has been working with a team trying to find a cure for melanoma for the past eight years. They started out with over two thousand test drugs and are now down to five. The most promising is made from the bark of a Brazilian tree, but it still has to clear all of the FDA hurdles before it can be made available to the public.

I wish them success. Government restricts and delays a lot of promising ‘cures’. I can understand it to protect people but also know that many who are seriously ill would take the chance on a possible cure.

The FDA does delay treatment, unfortunately. I hope your friend’s research is successful.
