If he had had a real, legitimate, bonofide and actual Hawaiian birth certificate which was real proof that he was born in Hawaii, he wouldn't have done most of the stuff he did. He could have gotten a copy of it when the Original birth certificate issue came up in July/August of 2008. That stuff about Hawaii not being able to release it is utter bullsh*t unless it is under court seal, and even then he could have gotten a lawyer to sue for it's release.
I think there is a STRONG possibility that all he has on file is an affidavit of birth which was written and signed by his Grandmother. If this is the case, it will not be perceived as strong proof that he was actually born in this country. It will in fact, inflame his critics and arouse suspicion from the entire electorate.
The good will of giving him the benefit of the doubt will flip to become animosity and distrust against everything he has claimed. (Which is the way it should be if the public wasn't so stupid.)
As i've pointed out to obots, we started with the birth certificate first because if *IT* isn't legit, it is easy for the public to "get it." The American Father NBC thing would have an upwind fight because the public (and the entire legal establishment) is so very ignorant about it.

However, I honestly believe that Obama is literally doing EXACTLY what Chester Arthur did. Arthur Hinman was hired by persons unknown to investigate Arthur’s place of the Garfield ticket. He could have been hired by Chester himself to blur the trail and get people totally redirected off onto tangents - looking for his PLACE OF BIRTH which was a provable quantity. Just like Obama, the problem wasn’t where he was born, it was his FATHER’S lack of American Citizenship!!!

So I think he has directed attention deliberately to Hawaii to hide the NBC Minor v Happersett issue. Otherwise why scrub Minor off the internet? Why obliterate McCarthy v. Briscoe off the internet? Feed the masses controversy on the COLB and the masses bought it, and set up the playing field for massive ridicule. His place of birth does not damn him, the CONDITION of his birth under the British Nationality Act of 1948 is what damns him. Obama knows it.

I think you have a great point about not being able to prove 14th amendment citizenship, but there could be another issue too. Assuming that neither of his birth certificates were “forged,” either A) he was adopted by Lolo Soetoro and is legally supposed to be using the newer replacement birth certificate than his original, or B) he was born “en route” which is what happens for births at sea or on airplanes. This phrase is supposed to be on the birth certificates, but under the law, the port of arrival can be used as the “place of birth” providing that the local hospital examines the baby and confirms it is a newborn (and not some older child being smuggled in from another country). Obama may have been born when his mother was traveling from God knows where, and he just doesn’t know where he was born, and he doesn’t want to try to explain why it says “en route” on his birth certificate, because THEN he can’t technically even be a 14th amendment citizen, even under the broadest interpretation. He’s not even a statutory citizen at that point because his mother is too young. Two words could sink his ship faster than the Iranians can clone a drone.
I saw on another thread were the order of certificate number is explained. Rural areas were gathered and stamped as a gathered batch. So it is likely he was not born in that hospital that the PDF is listing, because his BC would have been numbered differently.
