Poll: Romney's lead small over Gingrich Posted: January 15, 2012 - 12:19am By Walter Jones and Sarita Chourey Morris News Service

ATLANTA — As the GOP races settles into South Carolina, Mitt Romney isn’t enjoying the double-digit lead he held in New Hampshire, according to a survey conducted Wednesday night.

The former Massachusetts governor’s lead is so small in the Palmetto State that he’s essentially tied with Newt Gingrich, according to a poll for the Augusta Chronicle and Savannah Morning News conducted by InsiderAdvantage/Majority Opinion Research....

Same Polling firm.

An exclusive InsiderAdvantage poll released Sunday night shows GOP frontrunner Mitt Romney gaining in his lead in the South Carolina primary while former House Speaker Newt Gingrich is holding steady in second place.

In the poll of 720 likely registered voters in South Carolina GOP Primary, Romney was leading with 32 percent of the vote. Gingrich was second with 21 percent followed by Ron Paul with 14 percent.

How can anybody take this poll seriously. Same polling firm, but one showing Mitt the Liberal with a 11 point lead over Gingrich. Taken the same day.

The poll this article cites was taken of 'registered voters'.

Then there is this Insider Advantage poll which was of 'likely voters'.

All the polls except the last one right before election day are push polls.

In my opinion, JimRob should ban the posting of separate threads with poll results on FR. It serves no purpose except to sow despair and as fodder for concern trolls.

We should be ignoring the polls. Pollsters are NOT our friends.

JimRob,

Can you take this one down. Way too confusing and I wish I had not posted it. All these polls are showing Newt going on Willard, then this InsiderAdvantage shows something different. My mistake. No creditable.

Looks like one was taken on 1-11-12, the other on 1-15-12.
