Considering the magnitude of Giuliani's mistake, it's rather incredible that he had the nerve to run for the presidency. Add to that his penchant for cross-dressing and participating in homosexual parades, and it is difficult to understand why he thought he had a chance of convincing Republicans outside of New York City to vote for him. He is clearly far too insulated from the lives of the majority of Americans.
