The polls, to me, look like an accurate reflection of events (implosions and such).
WHAT Conservative candidate ?
So you’re saying there is still hope for John McCain.
Polls might be the mood of the moment, but moods can change like the wind, so I don’t understand why some voters think today’s polls will be tomorrow’s “done deal.”
Bachmann and Santorum are conservative candidates.
Just where Rick is today. GO Rick!
Maybe because support usually best translates as money donated to a campaign.
Newt Gingrich is the best chance of putting hard earned cash to good use.
It’s not like the others didn’t have their chance at the top and blow it. If anything, that could be a bone of contention among Republican voters against them - IMO.
“Just where Rick is today.”
That’s right.
I still have faith in conservatism.
For me, the best conservative candidate is Michelle Bachmann.
Keep the faith, Freepers...
“Newt Gingrich is the best chance of putting hard earned cash to good use.”
You could have said the same thing about Rudy four years ago TODAY. :)
And for those who can’t afford it, there are other ways to support a candidate such as posting, volunteering (even online), writing letters to editors, calling a talk show, especially one that airs in one of the early primary states.
Any other ideas?
Rick Perry, the man who would use Executive Orders to rule like Obama. Our Virginia Attorney General got him to admit on Fox this weekend while they were on Huck’s Forum. I would never vote for Perry. He is a globalist.
“For me, the best conservative candidate is Michelle Bachmann.”
Keep supporting her, if she’s your favorite, as she is a great conservative, and was Mrs. Tea Party right from the onset.
That started the voter surge for McCain.
Maybe he means Rick Santorum?
I thought it was because of the states that allowed Open Primaries.
But they aren’t viable first tier candidates (much like Duncan Hunter in 2008). Santorum has issues and left office unpopular with the base and Bachmann bombed early and needs more seasoning (such as becoming Governor of Minnesota). With Palin not running and Cain being run out of the race, there’s no first tier candidates at all. Just like 2008 with Fred Thompson’s exit.
If Michelle Bachmann were the front runner you would have people with links showing government money went to her family farm and she petitioned the Feds for government handouts to her State.
I know because that was exactly the case months ago.
I was supporting Sarah Palin till she made it clear she was not going to run and there were people posting against her with the same conviction you see now from some who are against Gingrich.
Newt Gingrich is conservative and greatly different from Giuliani. Many Tea Party people are supporting Gingrich. That would never be the case with Giuliani.
But on the other hand, poll #’s showed Rudy to be “viable,” and he bombed out early.
Santorum is picking up more support including endorsements by key conservatives, and praise from Sarah Palin helped him raise a good deal of money.
After Bachmann’s good debate Friday, she might do better, too.
“Many Tea Party people are supporting Gingrich.”
Could it be because he’s ahead in the polls?
LMSM will try to destroy any of our candidates in the lead, but Bush 41, Bush 43 and Reagan won in spite of them, so we just have to keep fighting.
