Hammett fought in WWI as well. There’s something different about your Commie in the USA today, I tell you.
Take for discussion a POS like that Manning fellow in the news no so long ago. Wore a uniform, hated the US through and through. Can’t say that about Hammett, you just can’t. Well, you could, but you’d be wrong.

My 92-year-old dad looks MUCH better. :) Not as wealthy but probably healthier.

Did the crowd ask him to play Songs for John Doe? Stalin loving hippie piece of crap. Every story about him should mention that his pacifism was good when Adolf was only killing Poles and Jews, but when Germany attacked Uncle Joe he immediately became a war monger.

And we thank him for his service, however being a WWII veteran does not make you a pro-American or smart in that respect. He’s an old lefty and it shows.

Those lefties who enlisted in WII were not pro-American, they were Communists. They enlisted for political purposes.
I have respect for all who served, but Seeger and others like them didn’t so it for their country.

I'm sure Rachel Corrie would have been there too, but she was too busy serving pancakes...

How do you know that? Unless there is evidence of treason while in uniform (like with Pvt Manning), why not give a veteran the benefit of the doubt?

Do you mean Bob Seger or Pete Seeger?

When the soviet Union signed a nonaggression pact with the Nazis, the American left thought Hitler was a fine fellow and lobbied heavily for the US to stay out of the war. But once Hitler invaded Russia, they became violently anti Nazi and clamored for America to go to war with Germany. Benedict Arnold was a great patriot and fighter in the revolution, until he flipped and became a traitor.

Bob Seger, the guy who single-handedly brought GM to its knees with that GD “Like a Rock” tune. At least the ad agency made out good.

Just kidding, although not entirely. It was the unions.

Actually it was asshats in management who gave the unions what they wanted. Then they set off for tropical beaches for a nice retirement, what did they care what happened next.

Can’t think of a song more painful than “Turn the Page.” And not because of empathy, that’s for GD sure.
