Hello mylife. Thanks for your well thought out post.

You raise a good point, and one that I have made in many a Perry thread.

If we ignore Perry's past of advocating liberal causes we effectively condone them and I'm not ready, willing or able to do that. You said "He heard us loud and clear." So why should he not hear us on other issues? And yes, I have written his campaign but have yet to receive a single response.

Perry needs to be vetted, all candidates need to be vetted. But the pro-Perry crowd seemingly opposes the vetting process. Anyone who questions his past or alludes to things in it that we don't like is summarily attacked as a 'Palinista' or a 'Romneybot' or, unbelievably, an Obama supporter. I am none of the above, I just see things in Perry's past that tell me I cannot vote for him.

I know there is no perfect candidate. But we should not ignore Perry's record. To do so is tantamount to supporting it, and I think we can do better.

I don’t know that my post was well thought ought but it’s my truth.

I voted for Perry then as the lesser of two evils, and he surprised me in his third term.
