In Islam the Minaret represents a countries submission to Islam, which is why they are so tall. To put a Mosque, especially with Minerets represents TO THEM they are conquering another country.
As for their numbers...thousands is correct. And it is widely know, to the informed, Texas is a "favorite" for the incoming Muslim. BTW...Google is your friend too.

I understand the covert nature of Islam very well.
I say build your minarets, it makes you easier to identify.
This is why it is so important to them to put a mosque at the World Trade Center site. The mosque building will look over a building across the street and will have the vantage point of looking right at the WTC looming over them. They will have as close up a view of the WTC as you can get. It will be allahu ackbar every day, the perfect place to gloat over their victory over us. Of course, if we continue to elect people who are warm and cozy with Islam, there will be more cause for gloating.
