I think you are right. I think this guy is mad as a hatter. It is all about HIM, what HE wants, HIS vision for America and to hell with anything else. I will not be surprised to see his bluff being to go nuclear in some way that hurts as many of those he considers to be his enemies as he can.
Recall what one writer said the other day? That obastard makes Nixon look like a piker when it comes to holding a grudge? If the “American people” don’t come to his rescue watch out, because they will truly become his enemies.

No, the sheeple will swallow BHO’s propaganda and they will blame the evil Republicans. MOST people don’t have a clue that, in fact, it will be BHO’s choice of what cuts will be made if the debt ceiling isn’t raised. Even one Freeper on another thread got on my case because he didn’t realize that BHO will hold the authority to make cuts where he wants to - so imagine the ignorance of much of the public. No, I’m afraid they’ll sympathize with BHO as the victim and blame the “radical” R’s in Congress. He’s a master at spin.

If Ubama actually said this, then that would rank as the most arrogant and self-defeating proclamation ever made by a president. How could the Republicans now be expected to do anything BUT call his bluff? Anything short of “calling his bluff” would make the Republicans look like losers and weaklings. Yawn...doing nothing is sufficient. No need to call any bluff or to take any action, actually.
Tax revenues will still acrue; DC will still have money to spend (within its means, finally).
If that should happen-—and it won’t— it will give real Americans every right to dispose of him and administration in a way that will get rid of liberals for 100 years.
