I really don’t think anyone would know this one.

Lothar and the Hand People , “Space Hymm”

Well, dangit. I got here late and a lot of my picks were already mentioned.

Ah, well. Here's my list anyway :-)

Veterans of the Psychic Wars by Blue Oyster Cult.

Needle Gun by Hawkwind

Why Me? by The Planet P Project (80's rawk!)

Planet Caravan - both the original version by Black Sabbath and cover version by Pantera.

Drive-In Saturday by David Bowie. A futuristic doo-wop song about teenagers who have to relearn the art of seduction and romance through watching ancient 20th century erotic videos. Or something like that.

And of course, *no* list of great sci-fi rock would be complete without Jan Terri's classic (heh heh heh) Journey to Mars

And the entire album ROCKS!

Thanks for posting that. I found it disturbing on a number of levels as I was LMAO.

Most likely a post Thalidomide Mr. Bojangles. Maybe closer to science fact than science fiction.

This is borderline rock/AC and not “space” science fiction, but freaky fiction nonetheless: Helen Reddy’s “Angie Baby.”

My son just suggested The Who’s “905,” too.
Can’t believe I didn’t think of it myself.

Cheers

While Crack The Sky was not technically a scifi band, they sure did some serious work that rivaled pink Floyd
