OBL's Faked Death- The Real Inside Story

This arrived in my in box, forwarded from a friend of a friend. I rewrote it and reworded it, to protect the chain of information.

Some of you may know I was an officer in the Teams a few decades back. I still have contacts among the active duty community, and former frogs who are now working "in country" as security contractors.

Here's what really happened. OBL was taken down on the third floor, that's true. He was cornered and then jacked up. He was then, deliberately in front of hysterical witness, shot in the face and head with red 9mm paintball "simunitions" out of an MP5. Real blood was thrown around for effect. In the crazy glare of battle lights it all looked quite realistic, and the witnesses will go to their graves believing they saw OBL killed in front of them.

But that didn't happen. He was stunned, knocked out with a hand taser, then hooded and bagged and dragged out to the helos. Then a dummy was "buried at sea" in his place, no photos are going to be released, and here we are. The world believes OBL is dead, so the agency and foreign interrogators don't have to be gentle with him during his prolonged "debriefing" in a secret safehouse prison with only one guest.

This was their "best case scenario" among the options confronting them depending on the amount of resistance encountered in the compound and the house. They achieved their optimal goal, the "jackpot." OBL is alive and under interrogation in a secret safehouse, and the world believes he's dead.

I think the rapid disposal was to avoid an international tug of war over the body and the possibility of using it to incite demonstrations and establishment of some sort of shrine. I think that was a good move. To have so much fretting over the release of the pictures is foolish. I say show the world right out how we deal with our enemies.

I could be happy either way. Dead is great but alive and hidden away; being tortured and interrogated, now that is priceless although a huge stretch. Either way, der Fuehrer might be tempted to let the “proof” part simmer until just before the election and then trot out the photos for a last minute boost.

I think it makes perfect sense.
When I first heard he was dead I saw two options.
One, that we’ve had him for years and he finally outlived his usefulness, or two, we grabbed him, reported him dead and will spend the next couple of years putting him through the wringer.
Then again, I guess I’m just an optimist. ;)

I would LOVE to see this "hypothetical question" posed to EVERY SINGLE democrat, liberal, media hypocrite from now until the 2012 election. Dear Sen. Reid, assuming that OBL was actually captured alive, would you support waterboarding to extract as much intelligence as possible from OBL?

Travis, You forgot to add in all the electronic devices that were picked up during the raid and scrubbed of communications with the DNC in DC. And the planted devices left for the Paks to go through which name the Pak Intelligence officer who were on bin Laden’s payroll. Maybe weave in a little something about CIA operatives filming the whole thing from a highrise building. Could be a good Clancyish novel. At least the guys didn’t get the rug pulled out from under thrm ala Clear and Present Danger.
