I noticed that too. And when I heard about a pic of him in a thong, I wondered what else was shaved. I doubt it's a Muslim thing. Probably more of a Britney Spears just plain crazy shaving.

What I most struck me was his SEG.

Loughner's grin reminded me of the dude on the right. If you don't recognize him, I'll give you a hint: he's wearing his target's 1972 presidential campaign button. They let him out in 2007, after 35 years in the can, his 53-year sentence reduced for good behavior. Like Loughner, he failed to kill his target. Unlike Loughner, he didn't kill anyone else.
