ansel12 : Personal attacks are not your forte, nor should you aspire for them to be so. You’re better than that. Be constructive. I’m simply trying to point out that it’s reasonable to assume she’ll be more of the same given she was screened by the Republican party machine. Also, we’ve been electing candidates with rosy promises and solid records for decades, but we have 13 trillion in debt, and open borders. What’s different this time?

Windflier : Was not Bush Junior also a distinguished Texas governor before he got elected? I’ll skip Bush Senior. I am more sympathetic to Reagan given he had to work with a Democrat Congress, but did not Reagan do amnesty? Which of the above talked about dismantling the Federal reserve, eliminating the EPA or Education which we got along fine without for almost 200 years? Sarah’s actually come pretty close by mentioning the policies of “the Bernake” are counterproductive.

meadsjn : Ad hominem.

TomServ : Haha!

mas cerveza por favor : So it is something of a crapshoot right now with Sarah, right?

What Republican candidate does not come with many nice speeches, and a track record of success, before they lead us down the road of debt, and open borders?

meadsjn : Ad hominem.

You need to look up "ad hominem". It does not mean what you think it means.

Here is part of what you posted:

what makes us think that Palin is actually the “outsider” that will ...

1) pay off the debt 2) decrease government 3) close the border

To which I responded:

Are you really this ignorant and uninformed? Why are you even on any thread about Sarah Palin if you haven't bothered to listen to anything she has said, or read anything she has written?

My response was not an ad hominem fallacy, or any other sort of fallacy. The items you listed have been discussed multiple times by Sarah Palin, which you would know if you had read any of her writings or listened to any of her speeches. Therefore, my question as to your ignorance or your being uninformed is perfectly logical, in order to exclude the possiblility that you know that you are deliberately implying falsehoods concerning her position on those items, meaning you are being dishonest.

So which is it? Are you ignorant, uninformed, or dishonest?

I understand your pessimism. Of all our Republican presidents, only Reagan was a true reformer, who passionately desired to steer the country back to its Founding Principles and practices.

He couldn't pull it off in his time because he didn't have enough similarly passionate Americans in the fight with him. One man cannot do it all alone. Not even from the loftiest perch in the country.

Today, that's not the case. The passionate millions have been galvanized. They're organized. And they've pulverized the ruling class Democrats in their first real test.

We now have a once-in-an-era opportunity to place another passionate patriot in the office of President. This time, that president will have the multitude of Americans required to steer the country back to where the Founders intended it to be.

There is only one potential contender for the office of president who has the desire, the commitment, and the courage to lead the battle to restore this country to its native character, and that is Sarah Palin.

Who do the voices tell you is the safe bet to become the President?
