I think if you go back into history you will find that not ot be the case. Those of the time knew (Lincoln) as a tyrant dictator. Only modern propaganda has him as an angelic leader. If you read the ugly history of those times, the unbiased observer can see that the real tyrant of the age was Jefferson Davis. Lincoln deserves the gratitude of all Southerners for liberating the South from the cruel tyranny of the slave power.
