We are going to need a strong, conservative candidate who has not been eviscerated by the news media - unfortunately, Sarah Palin has been beatn up too much and is TOO controversial for 2012. Especially after the nightmare Obama is bringing, we NEED a strong ECONOMIST and SOMEONE who’s strong enough to encourage independents and democrats to change sides. I see a few out there: Haley Barbour (GOV MISS), Mitch Daniels (GOV IND) and new on the horizon: Chris Christie (GOV NJ)

OK - I wanted to add onto my earlier post on Chris Christie -I have to say that he may not qualify under all the Conservative ideas, but I think he may have the strength to bring our economy in line and doesn’t care about being politically correct! He’s worth bearing watching!

“We are going to need a strong, conservative candidate who has not been eviscerated by the news media”

Any “strong conservative candidate” the GOP puts up against Obama is going to be “eviscerated by the news media.” After he gained the nomination, McCain was attacked by the media. Had he fought harder, like Palin, McCain would have been attacked more.

We need to change the public’s perception of the media.

If we're going to let the media pick our candidate, why have primaries? Let's just pick Mitt now, or, better yet, Mark Kirk. The media will love Mark Kirk until he gains the nomination and runs against Obama.

Jeez!

ROFL....you think the media is not going to do the same for the next conservative leader?

LOL....the Marxists now have a new play book. Palin has been through the fire and survived. They got nothing left to hammer her on. The rest of the field will simply be a repeat of what Palin went through and they will all retreat and cower in the shadows. If you allow the media to destroy Palin conservatism dies as a national political movement because the left will simply make any and all conservative candidates pin cushions.
