Calling all Freepers:
Do you think Sarah Palin will run for president in 2012?
Do you want Sarah Palin to run for president in 2012?

That’s what I meant to say Cain and not Hain. Hope I corrected it soon enough. Herman Cain!!!
IBITZ!!
If she runs she has my vote. In any case, they really hate and fear her. Why the constant drumbeat of negativism directed at her if not to head her off at the pass? I hope while they are directing so much attention to her another freedom lover steps out from the shadows to take them by surprise.

Sorry, to young.
I would possibly go with Michael Steele.
Wow, didn’t see that coming?! Welcome to FR?
Why would you support Steele? Just wondering, he is not experienced and he is very controversial and unpopular in GOP.
Also, Why Ryan too young? He meets the constitutional eligibility requirements. In addition, he has experience and great ideas!? He exceeds our current occupant in all these areas?
Who owns AOL? Who reads Aol? Who do Marc Ambinder, Chris Cillizza, David Brooks, and Gail Collins support as a Candidate? (Go down to my tag line.) I have someone here in Fla who I’d pick over Palin, but he won’t get anywhere near getting nominated, Al West! (OK I’m prejudice, I prefer prior service personnel over civilians any time.) Romney, the darling of the press, of course he is! Ron Paul and Huckleberry are the other two, gee I wonder why? Because they are sure to lose!!!!!
Victory with a Rino is no victory.
Wow! If you weren’t proven a troll with your previous remarks, then this one put you at the head of the class.

Your post was so troll-ish - the mods had to double zot it.
(But hee hee. I copied the evidence)
What about Paul Ryan? Thoughts?
I used to in WI in his district before he was elected, so I have followed him. I think he has “the right stuff” to be a serious conservative contender.
He’s sharp as a tack. Yet, he hasn’t made any noises about considering a run.
But he's been in congress for more than a decade and has both business and non-profit sector experience which would run circles around Obozo.
I find him to be a very impressive young man. The fact that he represents both a swing state (Wisconsin) and a swing constituency (Roman Catholic) isn't going to hurt either.
Maybe the fact that he HASN’T is part of his sharpness...
There is a very informative and active Facebook group—Paul Ryan for Pres. 2012. Not sure who is running it (public disclosure I am a member of that group.) I am glad he is emerging as a new voice for the GOP and conservatism. We need new faces, new ideas!
Pretty much the first time I’ve heard anything from Ryan was when he was on Glenn’s radio show last week. I was impressed. Although, he did say he wasn’t running for President. I’m not sure if he meant he has no intention to run for POTUS or if he was just saying he currently is not running for POTUS.
Personally, I’d like to see Palin and Hunter on the same ticket. In either order.
How many sitting members of Congress ever ran for and won a Presidential election?
Paul Ryan is a good choice. Michele Bachmann another one. I hope we are in a position in 2012 to have a banquet to choose from.
Victory with a Rino is no victory.

There won’t be victory with a RINO. Who will rally the base of the Republican Party? Palin. Who will get religiously motivated voters to the polls? Palin. Who will get the Tea Party voters behind the Republican ticket? Palin. Who can draw women voters to the polls? Palin. Who is not afraid to confront Obama? Palin. Who will get the most campaign coverage? Palin.
Or we could just go with whoever’s turn it is and lose.

In my opinion, the paradigms have shifted and past rules do not necessarily apply....
I honestly don’t know, but but how many senators have won—especially senators who may not have even been born in this country who only served a part of one term and were only present 140 days?
Ryan is a legislator, not an executive.
Don’t forget we need good legislators, too.
He also voted for TARP, 95% tax on AIG bonuses, and car company bailouts, among others.
He has been vocal—first time I heard Ryan was probably 4 years ago on WISN 1130 radio either subbing for Mark Belling ..or as a guest, and he was talking about his Roadmap for America....and I was thinking “wow, who is that articulate guy—great ideas, etc” and it was Ryan...turns out he was elected to my former congressional district after I moved. Been following him since. Seems like a fairly straight shooter.
I wasn’t implying anything. I honestly can only think of one....Garfield.
I like Congressman Ryan and would hope he does indeed run.
