BAYH-BAYH: Congress has not created one job in last six months...

And let me say this: I think the president, you can disagree with his policies if you want to, but he is making a sincere effort to try to bring the two sides together, to try and find some common ground, to forge that practical progress that Americans are so yearning for. And I want to help him over the next 11 months to make that kind of progress."

Obama’s agenda has not changed.

What has changed is the citizenry starting to recognize that agenda.

Obama thinks it is only because he hasn’t got his message across. I maintain he has.

"but he is making a sincere effort to try to bring the two sides together"

Talk about a statement not passing the laugh test. Has Sen. Bayh been smoking crack? Sorry, I don't remember the President ever publicly pressuring either Reid or Pelosi to work in a more bipartisan manner. I've never heard Obama publicly endorse a Republican amendment, especially when Nancy & Harry have completely disallowed the GOP from even attaching amendments to the most divisive pieces of legislation.

The way Bayh has stuck it to the dimoKKKRATS with the timing of his resignation I think he is mainly talking about his own party.

Every time I hear a politician speaking about how they’ll “fight for your ...” or “fight for the working families”, etc. I want to yell: “stop the GD fighting and get to F’ing WORKING for god’s sake!!” That’s the problem, they’d sooner fight than work.

I agree with you. Acquaintances and family members in the midwest have stated to me in no uncertain terms that "redistribution of wealth" and future "amnesty (putting a nail in the jobs coffin)" (with Obamacare, enormous national debt and continued democrat spending also factored in) have caused them to rethink their political views and they now want Obama and pretty much all democrats unseated and GONE pronto. I doubt they will ever trust anyone with a "D" behind their political name again.

NO, but I guess Bayh doesn’t know that!

Obama certainly doesn’t.

Bayh is positioning to either switch parties or “retire” now so that he can make a run for the presidency in 2012.

Frank: Partisanship is out of control in Congress

Massachusetts Congressman Barney Frank says Indiana Sen. Evan Bayh is right that Capitol Hill’s partisanship is getting out of control.

But Frank says his fellow Democrat could do more to change that by staying in Congress and helping change the filibuster rule than by stepping out of public service.

I think O’s reference to the 57 states were the 57 states of Islam.

Well. That would be one pleasant side effect.

I admit, there were freepers who advocated not voting for McCain on the basis that people would become so disgusted with the political damage that they would clamor to overhaul the system and get rid of the RINOs, but...I just was not willing to cause that damage to achieve the effect. I couldn’t do that.

Besides, our troops are in harm’s way, and how many of their lives would I feel comfortable sacrificing with the new Obama ROE they have to follow? (not even a one) so I can’t say I would have willingly let him take office.

I am hopeful that people will see the Rats for what they are.

There...that's more like reality...

I turned on CNN today for the first time in years. Over and over was the theme of "gridlock" and connecting it with the republicans. Worked it's way into every political story as the new democrat party line.

The only problem is the democrat's have HUGE majorities but once again its the republican's fault! I guess it must be difficult to place blame on Bush here.
