Slam dunk.

If Coulter is on-side than game over.

The left say quit, coulter say retreat to attack.

That’s why the move is fantastic. Oh goodness the left are in hysteria.

I like Ann’s take on this. Too bad Rush is off this week. Palin’s move does have a big upside, which pundits on the left and right seem to miss.

There’s no upside to this. She gave the ‘rats a loaded gun to use on her and they will and it will work. They’ll say she’s a quitter...unreliable...undependable. When the going gets tough Sarah gets going. She refused to finish out a single term as Governor, how could she ever be trusted with the WH? And on and on ad nauseum. And this time they’ll be justified. Anyone who doesn’t see that she just committed political suicide is kidding themselves.

Obama didn’t finish his first term as Senator and the people of Illinois were already taking the proper steps to IMPEACH him from his Senate Seat....

Oh please! You have to do better than that! Sarah’s term would have expired in a year. There’s no good reason she couldn’t have finished and THEN ran for 2012.

Our second guessing is foolish at best. Sarah will show us her intentions. Micro dissecting every imagined possibility is an exercise in futility.

Probably that is the intent ... it gives so much overkill, and murks/muddies up the water so much it makes for total confusion to the general public.

They (liberal/enemies) keep doing the same things; and they do it because it is effective.

We have a need to build up our side of Sarah Palin.

She was/is an answer to prayer. She still is as far as I am concerned. Sarah stands for conservative ideas, reform, family values, God, country, our Armed Services; and she is smart, not part of the Washington corruption system.

A total package of being a good person, a Mom, a wife, and has a honesty that is absent in politics in America today. MO

The MSM would have continued on the attack regardless of what Palin did. This just unties her hands.

It's a real tough sell for Dems to attack her for her decision without acknowledging that Obama did something far more questionable with his Senate seat (SINO?). Alaska will be in capable hands. Illinois got left with the Burris nightmare.

If the majority of voters (both living an dead) refuse to wise up and continue to let the MSM control their perception, then Obama will be reelected regardless.

Found it by accident while googling, looking for something else. Think I kept it on this thread:

Think it’s in the first hundred posts. Happy hunting.

(If a few freepers can collect this much on Chicago crime think what the FBI with all their resources have.)

She also now has the moral high ground. How many of us have privately looked down on politicians who campaign for a new office while holding the old one. It is something that has rubbed me the wrong way for YEARS. Palin can now say: “ Hey I accomplished my goals in Alaska, I wanted to move forward with the same goals for America, and I had the moral fortitude to do whats best for Alaska and give the reins of power over to the Lt. Governor before beginning my campaign. I am not the kind of person who will take a paycheck from one elected office while running for another, sort of like Barak Obama did for his 3 years in the senate. I don’t just vote present.”

Actually, comments about Palin’s political viability aside, what I liked most about Ann's comments was the way she put public office in it's proper place, a middle of the road job. How and why politicians ever got elevated to celebrity status is not clear to me, but it's ridiculous that they be thought of by anyone as anything more than public servants elected to represent and work for their constituents.

Also, what the liberal guy said about Palin not enacting any major new policy initiatives or legislation is indicative of what's wrong with liberal politics. Why do people think that elected officials should have as their goal pushing through new initiatives and legislation? It's that mindset that gives us an ever expanding reach of government into the private sector.

Exactly.

One other thing Palin has accomplished with her announcement is exposing all the “RINOS” in the party, and there are lots of them.

From my post earlier
She already accomplished her goals as GOV

Resigning enabler her to:
FInish the book and get it to the printers sooner (according to FOX seven figure advance)
(don’t worry rumor has it she’s doing a second book for liberals....a picture book, they can read)
Go on the Book tour(s)
GO on the talk shows.

Do the hundreds of speaking for pay engagments she’s had to turn down (She makes less than 100,000 as gov.)

Campaign for other running for congress...Get the GOP elected.

Basically she’s following the step Charle Krauthammer listed for her.

1. She’s gotten rid of the governorship, it had become a stone around her neck holding her back.

2. Decide of a few topic to emphasis....That was done in the last paragraph of her Independence Day greeting today.

less government intervention,
greater energy independence,
stronger national security, and
much-needed fiscal restraint

3. Get down to the lower 48.
First event scheduled in CA Aug 8th.

Sarah college degrees are in Journalism and Political Sciene and yours are in? ANY Questions?
