Brenda Warner Is Kurt Warner’s Wife

Meet Brenda Warner, a United States Marine Corps veteran who is married to Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner. Brenda is said to be the driving force behind her husband’s exceptional performance on the field recently which contributed to the Cardinals’ first opportunity to play in the Super Bowl. See photos, video and a biography of Brenda Warner here.

Brenda has been with her husband through the rough patches that he had to hit before making it big in NFL. After the 32-25 win over the Eagles, the first thing Kurt asked for was about his wife, who was making her way towards him through a jubilant crowd. Certainly, she was more important to him than the N.F.C. championship trophy.

“She’s been one of the few people that’s been with me from the beginning,” Warner said. “We were just telling each other that we loved each other. This is unbelievable and there’s no one I’d rather share it with.”

As a biography, Brenda Warner is from Iowa and was born in 1968 so her age is 40. She has been a cheerleader, a nurse and a Marine in her life. She met Kurt while he was working as a bag-boy at the local Hy-Vee store after hitting tough times in his career. Brenda was a divorcee at that time and had two children, son Zachary and daughter Jesse, from her previous marriage.

Kurt and Brenda got married on October 11th, 1997. They now have their own five children and are active born-again Christians.

“The first night we met, after we danced that night, I told him, ‘I just want you to know I am a divorced mother of two, so if I never hear from you again, I will understand.’ That’s the way it usually worked. The next morning, he showed up with a rose and wanted to meet the kids. He fell in love with the kids a lot sooner than he fell in love with me,” says Brenda in a recent interview.

Super nice guy. Went from a bag boy to hopefully a 3 time Super Bowl champ. His wife is obviously also a very special woman.

I’m an Arizonan who is not a big Cards fan. However, I really want them to win BECAUSE of Kurt Warner and Larry Fitzgerald. Two great human beings.

Sounds like a great man, and a great couple.

All well and good, but she hurt his career in St Louis because she kept calling the sports talk stations and ranting about how he was being treated by the team.

Those stories will be coming out in about...oh, 24 hours or so...especially out of the Pittsburgh markets....(chuckle)

To be clear, I hope Warner wins MVP in the coming Super Bowl. I’m just noting that his wife is a ‘handful’ when she feels she’s been provoked, and sometimes its not a positive.

Brenda would appear to be a better judge of pro football talent than the Rams organization.

I’m still pissed at the Refs for giving the the SB to the stillers when they played the Seahawks. Go Cards.

Snopes has the story of their relationship, and it's pretty remarkable.

NFL quarterback Kurt Warner married a woman who had two children, one a special needs child

Kurt has always seemed like a class guy. That being said, GO STEELERS!

Considering that the ownership/management team in St. Louis was largely the same folks who ran it for the last few years in Anaheim...she was most likely right on target.

IIRC, he adopted her two, then they have five of their own (the two youngest are twins.)

After training camp, when he was with the Rams, he stayed for hours afterwards and signed autographs, he made my son’s day when he complimented Logan on the Christian baseball hat Logan had on.
