Congressional Republicans Won’t Be Allowed to Do Their Jobs, So Why Show Up?

These are not bright times for the few remaining conservatives in Washington.

Blinded by his unquenchable thirst for an unfilibuster-able 60 senators whom he can control, Majority Leader Harry Reid is flip-flopping around, refusing to seat a legally qualified appointed replacement from Illinois while simultaneously trying to quick-march into a seat a legally unqualified election thief from Minnesota.

I hope Harry Reid looses his election.

Silly headline. Their job is to represent us. They’re job now is to lay down a record of well placed objections and obstructions so that when the Dim’s plans blow up in their faces our guys can be clear about what they and we stand for and can point to a record of standing for it.

I’d rather have no representation and an impotent Congress than have representation with a Congress doing things I don’t want.

Great altruism, however is had no basis in fact based on past performance.

No, they do need to be there. Even if they’re losing on every bill they stand against, just get their voices out there.

I just posted this on another thread but have to say it again...
This is a travesty. The hag, the IRS pick who didn’t pay taxes, the socialist woman and her global warming crap...this is absolutely sickening. And that is just the beginning. Gene Robinson, Al Franken, that anti-Israeli advisor, Frank and Dodd and Rangel all running roughshod! I am sickened. And there is nothing we can do about it because the democrats have complete and total control now to take corruption to an all new level.
The republicans who are left make me sick. They are wimps.
Frankly, most of us here have ZERO representation anymore.

"We had control and we squandered it."

Sorry to disagree with you, we may have had control but the republicans didn't even bother to show up. Squandering, unless I am wrong means that you have an active hand in wasting a commodity, those idiots where too busy about nothing.

Now we are in a socialist wet-dream with known traitors and like Nero the ones who voted for "T.M.N. "and his village idiot mouth piece (who is MIA from the US, not that we care he is not here, but I am sure that he is diplomatically screwing some pooch somewhere) are waiting for the 21st so they can claim their full tanks of gas, and their mortgage to be paid off

Republican legislators
When the going gets tough, we drop trou!

Pelosi did change the rules to block “Republicans” from being able to amend bills, make changes or negotiate terms.

Given the fact that they will throw the doors wide open at the borders and allow the 30 plus million illegals already here, a free pass, the Democrats will rule again for decades.

There is no doubt that those Illegals are Socialists and Democrats by nature. Plus that, they will pour across our borders for all that free health care and free housing that Obama will give them. And they won't pay any significant taxes because they will get a special rate, or they will scam the system and send most of it back to the country they came from before declaring it as income.

“We had control and we squandered it. This gives us time to regroup and realize that we need to NOT be Democrat-lite once we regain congress again.”

Nothing several million dollars and a Conservative litmus test won’t fix.

In that case, the House Republicans should all switch to the Democratic party. Then they should form their own caucus and prepare to amend bills, make changes or negotiate terms as Democrats.(Democrats in name only)

Harry Reid is a boil on the butt of the Legislative branch of government. He needs to be lanced...

Idiocy like this, along with SanFran Nan’s push to seal the LibTard lock on the House, may ultimately lead to the next revolution.

I am shocked and dismayed that more people aren’t up in arms about this hijacking of the legislature.

I agree! We really need to start a new Conservative party and rebuild our image. The RINOs have completely destroyed any credibility we had from the Reagan years.

This includes Bush. He has done more to ruin this party with his “compassionate conservatism” B.S. and shown his true colors by selling our entire financial system down the river to Socialism, than any President in history.

The GOP has become so infiltrated with Dem-lights that the only way to get rid of them is to dump the party entirely and start over. Looking at the facts, there is really nothing left to save. Rebuilding the image alone will set us back 10 years.

The emergence of a fresh new party run by strong Conservatives like Sarah Palin, etc, and with a catchy new name is our best hope of turning this around. Especially the best way to purge the Spectres, Grahams, the Lotts, and the Bushes completely from our association. This MUST be done very soon, while there is still time to save it,

That’s right. This way when elections roll around they’ll be able to say they stood against whatever... and the DemocRats will be totally responsible for the failures.

I thought this was the case even when they controlled both houses of congress. Congressional republicans haven’t done their jobs for a long, long time.

"Congresspeople are meant to represent the population and their constituents, not to whine if their party isn’t in control."

Eeegzakly! Meanwhile, the remaining Republicans are going through the motions of a hearing, when everybody knows the dums will be confirmed anyway.

There will be no genuine investigation, no tough questions, and no votes in opposition.

Pathetic.

I look forward to watching one of my Senators, Jim DeMint, giving the Dems a very hard time. OTOH Graham will capitulate with everything they do.
