McCain is a natural at these things, but Palin did very well. She answers questions in her folksy, non-Washington, regular gal way. For example, most politicians, including McCain, refer to Washington, D.C. as "Washington," but Palin, like a lot of regular Americans, tends to use the term "D.C."

The McCain campaign needs to let Palin answer questions directly instead of trying to make everything energy policy. Palin gets a question on foreign affairs and next thing you know it turns into energy related, pipeline, offshore drilling etc. Give her some latitude.

PUMA = “Pary Unity My Arse”. They are Hillary supporters who do not support Barack Obama. Most of them are very enthusiastic about McCain because he chose Palin.
Gas Prices are a Republican issue they are pounding on.

I’ve noticed. from reading their websites, that the behavior of Obama and his supporters, has actually caused many PUMA’s to rethink many aspects of Liberalism and begin to warm up to Conservative values a bit.

Damn she’s good in a townhall meeting. Strings it all together on energy and energy independence. This was a complete success on her part. She indeed is a pitbull on this topic.

Gov. Palin said in her interview with Hannity last night that John McCain didn't make her check her opinions at the door.
Most dems are not confident enough in their positions to allow debate because they know that most Americans will not support their positions.
