Now that that is out of the way I will reveal how I (and a few others) discovered Jordan Edmund was one of the former house pages that praticipated in sexually explicit instant messages with Rep. Mark Foley. Also I will explain to you why I believe it neccesary to reveal Jordan Edmund's idenity. You may not agree with my descision, but I hope to explain my reasoning by the end of this story.

All because ABC left a username on one of the instant messages. A little detective work revealed names and photographs, all available on the Internet. I'll bet there's a trail of information that can be found on this guy, possibly back to the conspiracy to release the IMs this close to election day. Stay tuned...

Apparently he has now removed the information from his blog. He said he would publish a news release at 4 p.m. Central time, so maybe it will return. It's an interesting series of discoveries matched with some innovative detective work that any Google user could duplicate.

Just a quick Google search of "Jordan Edmund" along with "Foley" produces this document from June 6, 2002:

Yeah, he's campaigning for that Istook guy in Oklahoma City, according to the Passionate America blog. Here is the Wayback Machine page for www.pagealunmi.us, the website that was shut down recently. Now why would the owner shut down the website unless his discussion group contained some interesting anecdotes about a certain Congressman? That's a good question, so for anyone with time on your hands and curiosity in your heart, check this page, which is the index to 3085 archived pages, apparently from the discussion group. This is what bloggers do best - research and collaboration to come to a conclusion.

I wonder if he is still working for Istook? I sure wouldn't have him working for me. It sounds as though he took the job with Foley for the sole purpose of outing him.
