This movie visceraly depicts just exacly where all of this fear, fascism and religious fundamentalism is leading us!

Could it be that THIS DUmmie had a brief moment of mental SANITY, and stumbled (TRIPPED, actually) across the truth of radical ISLAM?

Naw....

[A DUmmie who believes that the new Walmarts being constructed are really detention centers to which they will soon be sent.]

Admit it, PJ. You "borrowed" that idea from me....didn't you....

With a group of Freepers where the flick is given the Mystery Science Theater 3000 treatment.

It's the only way to see this film without a barf bag.

Isn't cute that they really think we "fundamentalist" types are the big threat, but those head-choppers in the Middle East are just something Dubya made up? If I were really interested in subjugating, harming and torturing these people like they think I am, I'd force them all to read the writings of the founders...there are so many references to God and Christ in them that the DUmmie's heads would explode.

Hey! A lot of smart, intellectual people like Batman!

In fact, I used to watch the WB animated series all the time...and Superman...and Justice League...Fantastic Four debuted the other night on Cartoon Network and it was pretty good.

Some time afterward, perhaps two years, let's call it 2020, the Saint Mary's Virus attacks occurred, killing over 100,000 people in Britain alone.

These people can not be serious. Which one of you Freepers is writing this foolishness?

we should not fear our government, it should fear we, the people.

One thing I agree with. The problem is, the government should not be afraid of anyone because they have decided to become a stinking terrorist, they should be afraid of us because we are citizens who are armed well and ready to fight honorably.

HOWEVER, the Gatekeeper also noted that the scoundrel was very kind to a dog he had found and for that he got the ride on the Up Escalator.

That's not getting anyone into heaven. "Nothing but the blood of Jesus..."

But what does it say? "The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart," that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame."

You bet...I have seven cats. I'm just saying that every single one of us, no matter how good we seem on the outside, is a total reprehensible scumbag and only that one sacrifice can get us in.

"So let us now don our Guy Fawkes mask and enter the V For Vendetta fantasy world of the Left..."

They'd look less goofy if they'd don the Guy Williams mask instead...

Supposedly, the creators of "V for Vendetta" are reeeeeeally unhappy about the movie - apparently the moviemakers took a LOT of liberties with it.

I once saw "my future" in the original Star Wars movie. However I was only 11 or 12 years old.

You wanted to be a protocol droid?

Isn't it scary that the spell-check recognizes the word "droid"? Obviously a Star Wars addict put together the spell-check's database.

Are they going to start claiming Karl Rove eats mice? That the neocons are going to steal our water and then take us back to their planet to eat us?"

Stop it. You're giving them ideas.

The Stones made it real. Since that song is already part of my head. The Stones, and rock 'n roll, are prophetic.

1 Kings 13:11 -- Now an old prophet was living in Bethel....

Yeah, it fits!

I know of a great way to watch V For Vendetta. With a group of Freepers where the flick is given the Mystery Science Theater 3000 treatment. This movie ranks up there with the unintentionally humorous campiness of Plan 9 From Outer Space.

OK, but I get to be Gypsy....

I would be reciting DUmb DUmmie quotes:

Please add these recent gems:

"Let's not loose touch with reality."

"Kerry knows exactly how deep the rabbit hold goes…"

"….have them editted for FREE by people who cared for the truth."

"…we would either be driving electric high-breads…"

Wow, if they are so inspired by "V" we had better hope they never see this movie.

(A little off topic, but "The word" was on DUmieFUnnies originally!)

From the Perky One's Blog (judging by the grammar and spelling, she must have hired Babs's blogger-person to ghostwrite this):

Couric LIVE BLOG: Katie Signs Off

Sep 5 2006 4:05PM |

Now it is time to sign off and Couric says she's tried some final statements but "nothing has felt quite right." (She recently joked with some reporters she considered "peace out hommies").

For her first sign off, Couric paid hommage to some legendary anchors sign offs, including Edward R. Murrow (Good Night and Good Luck) to Walter Cronkite (That's the way it is) to Dan Rather (Thank you for joining us. Courage.) and -- in a lighter note -- the movie anchor man, where actor Will Farrell plays prototypical anchor Ron Burgundy (Stay classy San Diego).

As for her own message, Couric asked her viewers to give their suggestions via CBS News' web site. "I know we'll have fun reading them and maybe one will stick" Couric said.

She wrapped the broadcast by simply saying, "For now all I have to say is I am Katie Couric and thanks so much for watching. I hope to see you tomorrow night."

A job for YOU, the author of this word, to email Ms. Couric.

The new sign-off word should be, in honor of Ms. Mapes and Mr. Rather (former employees -- it was in all the papers) -- oh, I don't know, something like ....

Kernage!
